Your Group Adventure Basecamp — Mobility-Friendly & Made for Connection

Sleeps 10 • Tobermory • 3 Minutes to The Grotto

Skip the cramped cottages. Stay together.

Welcome to Grotto Basecamp Lodge — a spacious, nature-surrounded retreat designed for families, reunions, and group getaways in the heart of Tobermory.

Set on 3 private acres in the Bruce Peninsula, this is your launch point for hiking, turquoise waters, caves, and unforgettable nights under the stars.

What makes it special:

  • Sleeps 10 comfortably — no splitting up your group
  • Firepit nights, shared meals, and space to actually connect
  • Minutes to The Grotto, Singing Sands Beach, and local trails
  • Across from a campground — perfect for extended groups
  • Peaceful setting with no close neighbours

Simple. Natural. Memorable.
This is the Tobermory experience done right.

The Space

Grotto Basecamp Lodge • 10+ Guests • Mobility-Friendly

Set on a large 3-acre property, the lodge offers privacy, open space, and easy access for groups of all ages. Nearest neighbours are over 5 acres away, giving you a quiet, secluded feel while still being close to everything.

Drive right up to the front or back entrance for easy unloading. The ground level includes a mudroom and laundry area — perfect after a day of exploring.

⚠️ Note: The kitchen is located on the second floor and requires stairs.

Before You Book

This is a nature-based stay, not a luxury resort.

You’re right beside Bruce Peninsula National Park, so you may encounter:

  • Wildlife (turtles, wild turkeys, etc.)
  • Insects (especially in warmer months)

That’s part of the experience — and part of what makes this place special.

Peak season tip:
Tobermory gets busy. Book your Grotto access early to avoid missing out.

Guest Access Notes

  • Ground-level access is step-free
  • Kitchen is on the second floor (stairs required)

Additional Notes

  • Fresh linens are provided
